According to a recent survey the number of blind or visually impaired Americans over 40 years old will grow from 3.4 million to over 5.5 million by the year 2020.

- Dry Eyes-About 4.3 million people have dry eye, with higher prevalence in those older than age 40
- Diabetic Care- According to the CDC, over 1/3 of persons that have diabetes do not know they have it; Diabetic patients have the highest risk of vision loss or challenges according to the American Optometric Association
